Youth competition crowns BBR stylists and designers

Mellow revamp featured youth competition was hosted at secret hill lodge hall by Melody Dhlamini , the founder of Mellow revamp models and promotions agency together with Ayanda Mathebula. The aim of the competition was to showcase local talent, fashion and stylist brands and to also crown their new ambassador. Mellow revamp was awarded the best modeling agency last year at the Bushbuckridge Heroes Awards and its founder Melody Dhlamini was crowned the young arising Heroine in Bushbuckridge.

The three winners of the night were; Mahlatse Melanie Makgonyane, Venetia Mnisi and Excellent Hlologelo Chiloane.

Mahlatse melanie makgonyane 20 years of age residing in bushbuckridge Saselani. Final year student at unisa studying psychology of education. she took the title of the mellow revamp ambassador 2018/19

Venetia Mnisi (27) is a Fashion Design graduate from Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), who aims at touching people's lives through the work of art. She was born and bred in Gottenburg Village outside Acornhoek in Mpumalanga Province.

She possesses the rightful skills and education to perform designing tasks efficiently. Venetia is an extremely creative thinker with profound knowledge of what people prefer in terms of apparel and accessories.

Her designs are heavenly inspired by Architecture, Futuristic and Punk Rock. Her range's theme is "The Black Glamour of Venezuka". She chose Black colour because it evokes strong emotions and gives authority. Black boosts confidence in appearance and increase sense of strength, power and professionalism.

Furthermore, Venetia calls her brand "VeneZuka" a combination of her name and her father, who is the inspiration behind her profession. She prides herself in designing outfits that gives women and men a sense of belonging. Venetia took the title of the best four season’s collection fashion designer 2018.

Excellent Hlologelo Chiloane, 25 years old from Acornhoek took the title of the best street wear stylist 2018. His brand ET clothing SA is a Streetwear House that that has its own street fashion trends. “My motto is to always design something out of the box and to stand out in the street wear industry. My Vision in the fashion industry is to see myself well recognized as one of the influential designers in the industry and have a successful clothing shop.
