ANC grooming young generation

By Wellington Khoza

The Bushbuckridge youth has decided to break their silence and speak out base on the issue of land without compensation which is a national problem recently. The Bushbuckridge Local Municipality launched a youth celebration on Friday at Secret hill hall in Bushbuckridge. The aim was to empower the rights of youth in order for them to take action in our problems as are facing as blacks.

The former ANC Youth League President was invited to address the youth reminding them to fight for their land without compensation. He said when black people were chased in their land; they started working for whites during the apartheid regime. He further said that whites formed the land acts to control all the land where blacks were permitted to own a particular place.

“Our former leaders fought for the issue of land including Subukwe. Our rights to share the land are being abused. We need a strong generation who can demand land redistribution without compensation. The gain of land can contribute to economic growth, employment and reduce poverty” Said Ndlovu.

The Deputy Chairperson of South Africa youth Council (SAYC) Clive Malamule says the youth should prioritise school first for better future. He added that youth should exercise their rights while correcting the issues of the past and claim our land.

After the lecture, the Xitsonga artists made an exciting performance when he sang his most favourite song and make the youth dance.
